Going into retirement, which I commenced on April 4, you always hear things like: Do what you love, enjoy yourself, stop to smell the roses, etc. Well, that’s what I’m going to do. After a lot of thinking, I’ve decided that what I really like to do is write, and so this blog was born. It will be a mix of my thoughts, some interviews with people I find interesting, maybe some pictures and opinions on the news of the day. I hope this blog will help me stay connected and share what is on my mind. But most importantly, I hope it is interesting for those who find it.
As for the title, it comes from Bob Dylan’s song “Not Dark Yet”. The final three lines are:
I can’t even remember what it was I came here to get away from
Don’t even hear a murmur of a prayer
It’s not dark yet, but it’s getting there
That’s how I see retirement: Life isn’t over, but I can see it on the horizon.
So let’s take this journey and see where it goes.
